High School Banquet
One of the most anticipated events of the school year is the annual high school banquet. Students dress their best and are joined for the evening by many of our staff and faculty. Events and destinations are kept secret, which adds to the anticipation, but no matter where the banquet takes place, it is always lots of fun and a wonderful memory for our high school students.
International Christian School offers piano lab to students grades 4 and up as an extra curricular activity. Group lessons with three or four students and semi-private lessons with only two students are available. Participants get a good foundation in piano, while those who desire to develop their talents further are prepared to move on to private lessons.
Spirit Week provides time during the winter doldrums for teachers and students to have just plain fun. With prizes for best themed costumes, the longest class “spirit chain,” and special competitions throughout the week, students have many ways to benefit from showing their school spirit.
“We’ve got spirit! Yes, we do! We’ve got spirit! How ‘bout you?”
Sponsored by the senior class, Spirit Week routinely includes crazy themed days such as:
- Wacky Tacky Day
- Snooze Day
- Pair Day
- Gum Day
- Career Day
- Hawaiian Day
- School Colors Day
- Western Day
- International Day
- Clash Day
- Nerds Day
One of the highlights of Spirit Week is the ongoing battle for school spirit between Captain Spirit and his antagonist Stick in the Mud. The students “vote” each day with their contributions, and at week’s end, the losing character receives a pie in the face from the victor.
All proceeds from Spirit Week go towards supporting the current year’s senior trip.
